Good evening Riverside families, this is Principal Tonya Williams with your weekly message. I continue to send everyone positive thoughts! Thank you to all the parents who made Teacher Appreciation Week special for our school community! We really appreciate the support!
We are still in Phase 3 of our Remote Learning Plan, so students should continue to complete assignments, attend class meetings, and contact teachers during office hours for instructional assistance. As a reminder, all individual learning plans can be found on the Riverside website. Teachers will provide feedback on assignments and students still have the opportunity to raise their final grades in each course. Teachers will also contact each family regarding final grades and device and internet access over the next two weeks.
If students are interested in the Durham Tech Career and College Promise program, then please sign up for the session offered on May 14th. This is the last session:  https://www.durhamtech.edu/dual-enrollment/ccp-information-sessions. Please visit the Durham Tech website and search CCP to sign up. Seniors are also still able to apply for Durham Tech classes in the fall.
We have solidified graduation plans for seniors. Please view the Graduation Flyer with all the details on our website under Quick Links. We will also have a Virtual Prom on May 29 via Instagram and zoom. The zoom code will be shared via Remind App to seniors on May 29.
If your students have mandatory items to return: library books, textbooks, uniforms, musical instruments, etc. please bring them to the school on Tuesday, May 26th from 10am – 12pm or Wednesday, May 27th from 5pm -7pm.
