Good evening parent, this is principal Tonya Williams with an important message regarding remote online learning. I continue to send positive thoughts to each of your families during this time.
Thank you all so much for your patience while we coordinate our plan around remote online learning. The teachers at Riverside High School are being flexible and innovative as we enter into this new phase, and they are excited to connect with their students!
As I mentioned in my call on Monday, we will begin new learning on Monday, April 6. Please check our website, riverside.dpsnc.net on Monday for a complete list of all Riverside’s staff office hours and online learning platforms. We will have print materials for most subjects for any student who is unable to participate in remote online learning. Materials will be ready for pick up on Tuesday, April 7 from 11:00-1:00 and 4:00-6:00 in the carpool circle at Riverside. This will be a no-contact pickup, but tables will be labeled by the subject. Only those students who cannot access online materials should pick up print materials.
We want to continue some sense of normalcy for our school community by continuing remote online learning for students. Please know that we are aware that different families throughout our school community have different needs. If your child is unable to participate in remote online learning, then please communicate that information to your child’s teacher or counselor. We are here to support our students!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to any staff members. I hope everyone has a great week. Roll Pirates Roll!
